The Estonian Human Rights Center and Estonian Refugee Council have expanded cooperation with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in order to increase the sense of security of Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in Estonia. The project supports refugee communities in Estonia.

The main goal of the project is to empower the Ukrainian community through various leisure opportunities and joint activities. Non-governmental organizations that plan to organize events or other activities for Ukrainian refugees can contact Estonian Human Rights Centre to contact them in order to cooperate, as they have has experience working with the refugee community, necessary contacts and in certain cases, the possibility of offering financial support. The topic or form of the event or activity can be various. Most important is to provide opportunities for Ukrainians who have already been in Estonia for a longer time and Ukrainians who have arrived since February to meet, so that people from the same cultural space can spend time together, share their experiences and make new acquaintances.
