On Tuesday, November 29, Estonia’s fourth donation campaign took place and 132 initiatives took part in it. According to preliminary data, 131,750 euros were donated to CSOs that participated in these.
“Donation campaign has proved that even in difficult times, people are ready to support important initiatives and organizations with donations. We sincerely thank all the donors and participants,” said Heleene Lippmaa, the organizer of the donation campaign.
The number of 70,657 euros includes the record amount of donations collected in the “I love to help” donation environment and Swedbank’s contribution of 40,000 euros. More than 2,400 people made a donation in the donation environment. The largest donation was made to the NGO Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu (Pet Shelter), followed by donations to the Good Deed Foundation, the Bullying Free School and the Estonian Animal Protection Association. The largest one-time donations were 5,000 euros and 1,500 euros and the average donation on the day of campaign (29.11) was 29 euros, which is 4 euros more than the year before.
Donation campaign was organized by NENO in cooperation with county development centers.
Next year, the donation campaign will be on November 28.
