The Minister of the Interior invites nominations for the award of honor of the citizen’s day

The submission of candidates for the award of honor of the citizen day and the honorary title of citizen of the year has begun!
Since 1998, active and caring people have been marked with an honorary award of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Honor Award is given for excellent performance in civic duty, for promoting civic education, for contributing to a responsible civic life, or for raising civic consciousness in society.
In addition, Ministry of the Interior also awards the honorary title of Citizen of the Year. Last year, Irja Lutsar received the honorary title of Citizen of the Year. She was awarded the title of professor at the Institute of Bio- and Transplant Medicine of the University of Tartu for leading the work of the scientific council and for fighting against coronavirus.
Candidates for the award of honor of the citizen day and the title for citizen of the year can both be submitted by individuals and organizations on the website www.siseministeerium.ee/kodanikupaev until November 10.
